There are two different types of MBA course is now available for the students. First one is the regular MBA course and the second one is the distant MBA course. A student can opt for any of these two MBA courses; but most of the students go for the regular MBA course rather than the distant or correspondence one. Then, is there any value in the distant MBA course? Who should go for this type of MBA?

The value of the certificate of the distant or correspondence MBA is same as the regular one; however, most of the people prefer the later over the former. This is because, there is no classroom program involved in the correspondence MBA. The course material is sent to the student get admitted into a correspondence MBA program. Thereafter, the student has to read the course material in his or home, in his or her leisure time and appear on the exam. The student does not have to attend any lecture, at all. There is no practical and no student to student or student to lecturer interaction in the correspondence MBA program. Hence, the correspondence MBA program is more meant for getting the degree rather than gaining any knowledge.

However, there are some people, for whom the correspondence MBA is the only way to go. If someone is doing any job and he or she needs a MBA degree to get promoted, then he or she has no way left rather than going for the correspondence MBA, as he or she has to time to attend the lectures. The course fee of the correspondence MBA program is only a fraction of the course fee of the regular MBA program; so if any student has financial constraint, then he or she has only one way to go and that is the distant MBA program.
